About this game

DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS turns a clash with Dragon Ball villains into an asymmetric online escape game. As a Survivor, search for power keys and install them to bring out the central startup system. Defend it until the Super Time Machine activates to win. If that system is destroyed, beacons provide another chance to summon an escape machine and leave with teammates. The Raider hunts Survivors, evolves into stronger forms and destroys areas to restrict their routes. Survivors answer with vehicles, weapons, grappling hooks and Change Power that lets them borrow a fighter's power through transformation. The Switch game requires an internet connection, with paid Nintendo Switch Online needed for multiplayer. Solo activities are limited to tutorial Episodes and practice.

7.3 / 10Nintendo Switch

An asymmetric chase for players interested in coordination, unequal power and switching between escape and pursuit.

Placing keys and then defending a shared objective can turn cooperation into a concrete sequence of decisions. Raider evolution and area destruction suggest mounting pressure within a match, while emergency transformations give Survivors reasons to judge when to resist.

Strengths

  • The change from key placement to objective defense can give teamwork a clear purpose.
  • Distinct escape and hunting roles can appeal to players who enjoy approaching the same situation from opposing perspectives.

Weaknesses

  • Players mainly seeking a solo Dragon Ball adventure may find the tutorial-and-practice scope too limited.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy online team objectives, evasive play and a powerful opposing role with different priorities.

Play notes: An internet connection is required even for solo activities; online multiplayer also requires paid Nintendo Switch Online.
