About this game
Dragon Age: Inquisition is a party-based role-playing game set amid conflict in Thedas. As the Inquisitor, players gather adventurers and attempt to restore order while tensions between mages and templars divide the land. Individual party members can be controlled directly, with tactical pauses allowing positions and targets to be assigned. Skills and equipment develop the group, while dialogue choices shape relationships and political decisions. Taking strongholds and assigning duties connect adventures in the field with the growth of the Inquisition.

Dragon Age Inquisition
Companions and organisational growth reward investment, with repetitive tasks and serious version compromises.
Inquisition combines party development, relationships and organisational growth within a large adventure. Exploration earns resources and power that feed equipment, skills and stronghold operations, giving progress a purpose beyond clearing a map. Conversations and personal quests add reasons to invest in companions. Direct action and tactical pauses offer different ways to command, although recurring errands and collecting still require players to choose which activities deserve their time. Reliability is the Xbox 360 version’s central limitation. Its identified launch-period test reports poor textures, disappearing objects, failed NPC interactions, frequent crashes and long loads, interrupting investment in the journey. The scale and systemic options retain value, but cannot replace the ability to carry out actions consistently. This version is best considered by players especially interested in party and organisational development who accept the documented historical technical compromises.
Strengths
- Companions and stronghold development connect
- Equipment, skills and tactics offer options
Weaknesses
- Repeated errands and collection
- Historical crashes and failed interactions
Who it is for: RPG players invested in companions and organisational growth who accept this version’s documented limitations.
Play notes: Independent judgment from Christian Gaca’s November 21, 2014 Xbox 360 technical observations after two days of checking, not our own playtest. Model, patch and hours are unspecified. EA’s 360 manual and shared design in a December 13, 2014 PS3 review support gameplay scope, without transferring PS3 input findings. Current crashes, GOTY DLC and networking are not established.
