About this game
Dishonored is a Xbox 360 puzzle game centered on rule recognition, spatial or logical judgment, and successive puzzle solving. Compact stages add conditions and tighter constraints over time, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Graphics, audio, and input feedback need to support decisions directly, while HD video, DVD streaming, surround audio, HDD installs, and television-distance interfaces need to keep action, state, and text readable. The genre-specific limitation is that limited explanations, input recognition, repetition, or abrupt difficulty can stall progress. Platform conditions also include disc and HDD installation, storage devices, controller batteries, video connections, resolution and frame rate, Kinect space and calibration, and retired online services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Dishonored is Arkane’s first-person stealth-action series, set in industrial cities threaded with supernatural intrigue. Explore buildings and backstreets, combine powers with tools, and decide whether to slip past an obstacle, subdue someone or fight. Missions leave room for both careful planning and improvised solutions.

Xbox 360AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Flexible console stealth with occasional Xbox 360 streaming hitches.
The original Xbox 360 Dishonored offers substantial choice inside compact but layered missions. Corvo can slip around guards with powers or combine weapons and devices for confrontation. Pursuing a nonlethal, undetected route makes repeated saves and close study of patrols part of the pleasure. The revenge story is direct, while Dunwall’s industrial buildings, political and religious documents, and eerie audio make each small space feel connected to a larger city. A contemporary Xbox 360 play account reports mostly steady 30 fps and less conspicuous texture streaming after a disc installation, with occasional pauses and low-resolution surfaces still present. The install is a specific tested condition, not a guarantee for every storage setup. PC display options and higher frame rates are not credited to this release. This assessment is limited to the 2012 Xbox 360 edition, excluding later assassin DLC, Definitive Edition and backward-compatibility enhancements on newer Xbox hardware. It suits controller players who enjoy repeatedly planning routes and learning a flexible stealth system.
Strengths
- Powers, devices and layered routes reward player-made solutions.
Weaknesses
- The plot is simple, with some streaming and pause friction.
Who it is for: Xbox 360 stealth players willing to retry nonlethal routes.
Play notes: Technical findings assume the reviewed disc install; later enhancements and DLC are excluded.
