About this game
Dishonored 2 is a PC role-playing game centered on area exploration, combat and party setup, and character progression. Story beats, exploration, and progression resources support a longer campaign, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Characters, world building, environments, and music carry most of the atmosphere, while resolution, graphics settings, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio, text scaling, and hardware performance need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that dense text, menu layers, repeated battles, loading, or language dependence can slow progress. Platform conditions also include OS and hardware requirements, installation media, patches, drivers, DRM and launchers, key binding and controller support, save locations, mod compatibility, servers, and era-specific OS compatibility affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Dishonored is Arkane’s first-person stealth-action series, set in industrial cities threaded with supernatural intrigue. Explore buildings and backstreets, combine powers with tools, and decide whether to slip past an obstacle, subdue someone or fight. Missions leave room for both careful planning and improvised solutions.

Brilliant spaces and dual protagonists face serious launch-era PC friction.
Dishonored 2 on PC expands free-form infiltration through more intricate spaces. Emily and Corvo have different abilities, letting a target be approached from rooftops, concealed paths, environmental devices or direct combat. The Clockwork Mansion and shifting architecture make space itself a puzzle and give replay meaningful alternatives. Karnaca’s dust, light and interiors establish a vivid place, although the coup plot and some dialogue carry less force than its levels. Its PC technical history needs a precise boundary. Launch-period users encountered low frame rates and mouse trouble. On a documented Windows 10, i5-6600K and GTX 1070 review machine, the first beta patch eased mouse stutter, but colleagues still reported drops; a separate contemporary PC account found serious slowdown in crowded plazas. Such instability affects the precision needed for stealth and cannot be erased by excellent level design. This rating reflects the original 2016 release and first beta-patch evidence only. It is not a measured claim about the latest 2026 build, and later standalone expansion content is excluded.
Strengths
- Mechanical levels and two power sets keep routes inventive.
Weaknesses
- Launch-period frame drops and mouse stutter disrupt precision.
Who it is for: PC players who enjoy open levels and can check their build’s performance.
Play notes: Technical findings cover the 2016 launch and first beta patch only.
