About this game

Tim Goodman and his talking Pikachu partner search for Tim's missing father in Ryme City, where humans and Pokémon live together. You inspect scenes and gather statements, with Pikachu opening conversations with Pokémon. Collected testimony and evidence feed into the case notebook, where you put deductions together. Solving successive cases moves the story forward. Pokémon abilities also shape the investigation. Pikachu rides Growlithe to follow scents toward evidence, while Luxray sees through walls to uncover hidden clues or help with moving unseen. Optional Pikachu hints and answer displays provide assistance during investigations. Once the prologue is complete, a chapter-selection mode also lets you revisit completed episodes or choose ones you have not played.

Collected in series

Pokémon is a role-playing series that began in 1996. As a Trainer, you travel the world meeting, catching and raising Pokémon. Filling your Pokédex, building a team and taking on rivals shape the adventure, while trading with friends brings new partners along for the journey.

6.3 / 10Nintendo Switch

A plausible match for players who want a Pokémon mystery built around conversations, clues and creature-assisted investigation.

Combining human and Pokémon testimony with notebook deductions may appeal to players who enjoy piecing together a case. Scent tracking and wall vision give that detective work a Pokémon-specific angle, while optional assistance offers a way past a stalled investigation.

Strengths

  • Pokémon abilities can give familiar clue searches a distinct twist, from following scents to looking beyond walls.

Who it is for: Players interested in interviewing witnesses and connecting evidence, with the option to request help when stuck.

Play notes: Chapter selection can open unplayed episodes after the prologue, so players who value story order should choose their next episode deliberately.
