About this game
Burnout Revenge is a Xbox 360 racing game centered on driving and route control, route judgment, and speed and overtaking management. Tracks raise pressure through corners, rivals, and time targets, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Speed, track boundaries, and vehicle feedback determine driving readability, while HD video, DVD streaming, surround audio, HDD installs, and television-distance interfaces need to keep action, state, and text readable. The genre-specific limitation is that visibility, collisions, steering precision, wheel support, or loading can limit consistency. Platform conditions also include disc and HDD installation, storage devices, controller batteries, video connections, resolution and frame rate, Kinect space and calibration, and retired online services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

A strong 360 edition with faster Crash retries but few new routes.
The Xbox 360 release of Burnout Revenge turns traffic into ammunition. Checking same-direction cars into rivals, using Crashbreakers to extend a pile-up and chasing takedowns in Road Rage give aggressive driving tactical purpose. World Tour alternates racing, elimination, combat and staged Crash events, so the campaign has more than one way to exploit that satisfying speed. This release upgrades vehicle breakup and sound effects; louder engines, scrapes and boost noise make impacts feel substantial. Faster Crash-mode loading and an automatic ideal launch also make repeated attempts less tiresome than on the earlier consoles. Replay clips and launch-era online rivalry tracking are additional features, though the direct review finds few fresh courses for owners of the PS2 or original Xbox editions. It also notes that the image can be too dark on some displays. This score belongs only to the 360 release and does not revise the protected earlier-platform assessments; current online access is not assumed.
Strengths
- Traffic-checking tactics, event variety and upgraded sound.
Weaknesses
- Few new courses for veterans and occasional dark imagery.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy aggressive high-speed racing and Crash challenges.
Play notes: Online rivalry features are historical, not verified as currently available.
