About this game

1000xRESIST follows Watcher, whose assigned role is to relive and interpret the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process called Communion. Outside those memories lies the Orchard, an underground home for a society of Iris's clones, where disease has shaped life below the surface. Inside a memory, you move between different moments in time to solve puzzles and reach inaccessible areas. Between Communions, you explore the Orchard and speak with its inhabitants. The investigation moves through third-person adventure, visual-novel presentation and first-person walking sections, combining exploration of the remembered past with conversations in the society built around it.

A promising fit for readers who want to investigate a story by moving through its memories.

Time shifts can make understanding a remembered place part of finding a route through it. Returning to the Orchard may give those discoveries a social context, especially for players who enjoy connecting conversations with events shown elsewhere.

Strengths

  • Moving between moments can connect narrative curiosity with spatial problem-solving.
  • The recurring hub offers a way to place remembered events alongside the lives of the Sisters.

Who it is for: Players drawn to speculative fiction, conversations and reconstructing the relationship between a society and its remembered past.
