Fighters use punches, throws and their own signature moves to push through groups of enemies, with electronic music giving the action its distinctive pulse. Representative games: Streets of Rage (1991): Three selectable fighters take on the city’s criminal syndicate, alone or with a partner. Streets of Rage 2 (1992): Max and Skate join Axel and Blaze, expanding the choice of fighting styles.
