Overview

Splatoon is Nintendo’s action series where colorful ink is both a weapon and a way around the battlefield. Spray the ground, change form and swim through your team’s ink to move or hide; Turf War rewards the team that covers more ground, while other modes add their own objectives. Representative games: Splatoon (2015): Establishes four-on-four Turf War, turning painted ground into both the objective and a route through battle. Splatoon 2 (2017): Introduces Salmon Run, a cooperative mode where a crew fights Salmonids and collects Golden Eggs.
