Overview
Saints Row is an open-world action series about building the Saints into a criminal force. Create your character, drive across the city and take on rival gangs, with side activities that invite messy improvisation. Later entries push the mayhem into increasingly absurd territory, including superpowered combat. Representative games: Saints Row (2006): Establishes the gang-war foundation, letting you create a recruit and fight for control of Stilwater. Saints Row 2 (2008): Expands the city playground and lets two players tackle the entire story together. Saints Row IV (2013): Takes the action into an alien simulation, where superpowers transform how you move and fight. Suitable for: Players who like making their own fun between missions and giving a character an outrageous personal style. Expect violent comedy, distractions around the city and plenty of room for a plan to become a spectacular mess.
