Overview

Bakushou!! Jinsei Gekijou is Taito’s comic life-board-game series. Roll through school, work and relationships as lucky breaks and embarrassing setbacks change your fortunes; some entries trade a whole lifetime for school days or life in old Edo. Representative games: Bakushou!! Jinsei Gekijou (1989): Travel from childhood to old age, aiming to finish with the most money. Daibakushou!! Jinsei Gekijou: Dokidoki Seishun Hen (1993): Six school years become a competition to gather life experience rather than simply accumulate wealth. Daibakushou!! Jinsei Gekijou: Ooedo Nikki (1994): Work, romance and sudden reversals unfold on a life-game board set in Edo-period Japan. Suitable for: For players who enjoy party games that leave everyone with a funny story. It suits a willingness to laugh at bad luck and unexpected rivalries more than a need to control every outcome.
