About this game

The Dishwasher Vampire Smile is a Xbox 360 action game centered on platform movement and landing judgment, enemy and hazard responses, and stage objectives. Stages build pressure through routes, enemy patterns, and changing objectives, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Animation, hits, camera behavior, and readable hazards determine whether feedback remains dependable, while HD video, DVD streaming, surround audio, HDD installs, and television-distance interfaces need to keep action, state, and text readable. The genre-specific limitation is that camera behavior, collision rules, input mapping, and repeated ground after failure can raise the entry barrier. Platform conditions also include disc and HDD installation, storage devices, controller batteries, video connections, resolution and frame rate, Kinect space and calibration, and retired online services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

8.7 / 10Xbox 360

Ferocious, stylish combat with minor pacing detours.

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile on Xbox 360 turns a grim comic-book world into a remarkably fluid two-dimensional action game. A direct review of the original release highlights air dashes, weapon switching, aerial juggles and grisly finishers that flow together naturally, although heavier weapons need practice. Its two protagonists traverse the same stages from different angles. Five difficulty settings, arcade challenges, a survival gauntlet and local or online cooperation add meaningful reasons to return. Hand-drawn monochrome scenes punctuated by violent color and metal music express the characters more forcefully than the simple revenge plot. The Xbox 360 review describes smooth solo and cooperative play and a camera that keeps both players visible, but gives no measured frame-rate figure. Occasional unclear routes and optional rhythm interludes disrupt momentum. This assessment is for the original console release, not a later PC port. It suits players who enjoy demanding combos and deliberately gruesome imagery.

Strengths

  • Fluid combos, cooperation and striking comic art.

Weaknesses

  • Occasional poor wayfinding and rhythm diversions.

Who it is for: Fans of intense 2D action and dark art.

Play notes: Original Xbox 360 only; no measured frame-rate claim.
