About this game

Super C sends commandos through enemy positions with directional shooting and weapon pickups. Side-view sections combine jumping with gunfire, while top-view areas change the space you move through and do not permit jumping or lying down. Destroying capsules and sensors releases upgrades such as the Spread Gun, laser and machine gun. A second player can join the advance. The home version has its own stages, so this overview concerns the NES/FC game rather than the arcade game or later sequels.

9.0 / 10Famicom / NES

For players who enjoy changing their approach between shooting perspectives.

The top-view sections remove the jump response used elsewhere, asking for different positioning. Weapon pickups and two-player cooperation give further choices within that action.

Strengths

  • Viewpoint changes alter the movement options used in combat.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy run-and-gun action with both side-view and top-view sections.
