About this game
Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is a Xbox 360 shooter game centered on aiming, shooting, and weapon use, positioning and evasion, and weapon and firepower management. Missions pace progress through enemy waves, routes, objectives, and weapon opportunities, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Aiming feedback, projectiles, hits, and danger zones need to remain readable, while HD video, DVD streaming, surround audio, HDD installs, and television-distance interfaces need to keep action, state, and text readable. The genre-specific limitation is that camera turning, aiming methods, dense encounters, and peripheral support can increase control pressure. Platform conditions also include disc and HDD installation, storage devices, controller batteries, video connections, resolution and frame rate, Kinect space and calibration, and retired online services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Resident Evil follows people trying to survive biological disasters, combining dangerous exploration, puzzles and encounters with hostile creatures. Each game finds a different balance between fear and action, with fixed, over-the-shoulder and first-person perspectives changing how you face the danger.

Xbox 360AI review

Co-op and class ideas survive, but Xbox 360 inputs repeatedly interfere.
On Xbox 360, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City offers an Umbrella-squad angle with different classes, special abilities and battles involving soldiers as well as infected creatures. A detailed review of this exact release finds potential in those overlapping threats, yet overly durable enemies and underused interaction ideas turn many encounters into prolonged shooting. Communicating with human partners makes the campaign more enjoyable; AI allies are much less dependable, including when revives matter. Familiar Raccoon City imagery has fan value, although very dark areas reduce enemy readability. The Xbox 360 control findings are especially concrete. Automatic cover does not engage consistently, the A button serves both revive and pickup, and a stick-click-plus-A dodge feels awkward. These conflicts interrupt the actions that should support team play. The score gives credit to cooperative potential without converting it into a recommendation for solo play or importing performance claims from a different console version.
Strengths
- Class choices and friends can enliven faction battles.
Weaknesses
- Durable enemies, poor allies and conflicting Xbox 360 inputs.
Who it is for: Xbox 360 players with reliable co-op partners.
Play notes: Solo AI, auto-cover and shared revive/pickup button cause friction.
