About this game
My Time at Portia is a life simulation role-playing game built around running a workshop and joining a town’s daily life. Players inherit their father’s neglected workplace, gathering and mining materials to fulfil commissions, contribute to rebuilding and discover the past of a post-apocalyptic land. Everyday activities include growing crops, raising animals, decorating a home and developing relationships through conversations, gifts and dates. Ruins hold resources, relics and opponents to fight. Crafting, exploration and social skills provide different directions for growth as players decide how to divide their time.
Collected in series
My Time is Pathea’s series about building a workshop and a place in a community. Gathering, crafting and commissions give each day practical goals, while exploring ruins and getting to know residents gradually connect your work to the town around you.

My Time at Portia
A workshop gives everyday plans a satisfying destination, although production waits and modest combat can interrupt the sense of discovery.
The workshop is a useful centre for a life simulation because work creates reasons to leave home and reasons to return. A commission can turn a trip for materials into a plan for another machine, and that machine makes a larger project seem achievable. Farming and relationships offer different ways to spend a day when production needs time. The appeal lies in choosing which small commitment should lead to the next one. That rhythm is less convincing when another supply chain simply postpones an interesting destination; straightforward combat does little to make every gathering trip distinctive. Colourful scenery and a busy town make the routine more inviting. The inspected PC input accounts describe usable keyboard and controller options, giving players a practical choice for managing that routine. It suits patient planners who find satisfaction in arranging work as well as finishing it.
Strengths
- Crafting projects, farming and town relationships give daily planning several connected purposes.
Weaknesses
- Production chains can delay progress, while straightforward combat adds limited variety to resource trips.
Who it is for: Patient life-simulation players who enjoy planning projects and dividing time between work and relationships.
Play notes: PC input basis: Irwyn Diaz, Twinfinite, January 15, 2019, unspecified mid-range laptop, keyboard/mouse and controller including a DualShock 4 scheme.
