About this game

Your father’s neglected workshop is the starting point for a new life in Portia. Gather materials, craft machines and fulfill commissions from the town’s residents. Ancient ruins connect exploration to your work: recovered technology enables new inventions back at the workshop. You can also make furniture and decorations to shape the place you return to. Life outside the workshop includes growing crops, raising livestock and exploring dungeons where monsters must be fought. Relationships develop through everyday interactions such as greetings and gifts, with dates offering another way to spend time with residents. The recurring choice is where to put your attention: the next construction request, an expedition or the people around you.

7.3 / 10Nintendo Switch

For players who enjoy turning a practical project into a wider daily routine.

Commissions give gathering and crafting an immediate purpose, while recovered technology links exploration to workshop development. Farming and relationships should suit players who enjoy choosing between productive work and personal interests.

Strengths

  • Ruins and inventions connect going out to explore with developing your workshop.
  • Commissions and social activities provide different kinds of goals to pursue.

Weaknesses

  • The resource-gathering and commission loop may feel like a task list if you mainly want unstructured decorating.

Who it is for: Players who like planning small crafting projects, maintaining a farm and getting to know a town’s residents.

Play notes: Dungeon exploration includes fighting monsters, so the activity mix extends beyond workshop and farming routines.
