About this game

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a PlayStation 5 adventure game centered on combat encounters, area and route exploration, and story, case, or mission progress. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Collected in series

Star Wars games offer many ways to step into a galaxy of rebellion, strange worlds and the Force. Across this broad franchise, different adventures put you behind a blaster, ask you to shape a character’s loyalties or let you learn the rhythm of lightsaber combat.

A playful galaxy worth exploring at your own pace.

The Skywalker Saga combines nine film adventures with a broad collection of explorable planets. Aimed blasters, melee combinations and class abilities make its familiar LEGO interactions more active, while comic reinterpretations keep well-known scenes entertaining. There is plenty to return to, though repeated errands can turn exploration into a checklist if completing everything becomes the only goal. The PS5 launch review finds broadly fluid action, qualified by occasional dips and an awkward close camera; that is not proof that every cooperative situation is fault-free. It is best approached as a relaxed Star Wars playground rather than a completion sprint. Cooperation is local split-screen, not an online feature.

Strengths

  • More active combat and character abilities.
  • Extensive film and planet adventures.

Weaknesses

  • Repetitive side errands.
  • Occasional camera and fluidity friction.

Who it is for: Star Wars fans who enjoy relaxed exploration and local cooperation.

Play notes: Original 2022 base game; later character packs are not assumed included.
