About this game
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a PlayStation 5 adventure game centered on story, case, or mission progress, character and object interaction, and objective or clue progression. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

PlayStation 5AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A stronger complete package whose combat outweighs familiar filler.
Real-time attacks, commands, weaknesses and stagger create tactical fights, while Yuffie and Sonon add a brisk new cooperative rhythm. The included Yuffie chapters and Fort Condor broaden the package, but the long Midgar campaign still has obvious corridor padding between its highlights. Cast, music and enhanced night lighting sell Midgar’s drama, even as blurry slum textures make the visual finish inconsistent. The reviewed PS5 modes offer smoother combat or sharper imagery and fast loads, but old textures remain and the free-upgrade path does not include INTERmission. This judgment belongs to the PS5 version, without importing Switch 2 performance or confusing the PS4 upgrade entitlement with the complete bundle.
Strengths
- Hybrid battles and Yuffie’s linked play remain strong.
- Cast, music and PS5 smoothness lift the adventure.
Weaknesses
- Corridor padding and blurry textures persist.
- The free upgrade path omits the Yuffie episode.
Who it is for: First-time PS5 buyers seeking both the Midgar campaign and Yuffie’s separate episode.
Play notes: Assessed as a new PS5 Intergrade purchase; a free PS4 upgrade does not include INTERmission.
