About this game
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a PlayStation 5 adventure game centered on combat encounters, area and route exploration, and objective or clue progression. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Dying Light is Techland’s open-world zombie action series, mixing parkour, scavenging and close-range combat. Daylight gives you time to explore and prepare, while night changes the danger of the same streets and escape routes.

PlayStation 5AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Excellent traversal, weaker narrative choices and launch tradeoffs.
The launch-era PS5 Dying Light 2 is most convincing when it lets movement lead. A paraglider and grappling hook make routes between tall buildings something players can improvise, and melee attacks connect naturally with evasions, jumps and kicks. Night travel raises danger while rewarding risk with extra experience, giving a long campaign a dependable reason to keep exploring. The narrative payoff is much less persuasive. Faction and dialogue choices seldom reshape the city to the degree suggested by the premise, and a thin cast makes the central drama less memorable than the rooftop playground. On PS5, contemporary technical analysis describes separate performance, resolution and ray-tracing modes, so players can favor smoother response or stronger image treatment but cannot obtain all benefits together in the launch build. This is best for players who put parkour and zombie encounters ahead of meaningful story branches. Later updates and their technical effects are outside this assessment.
Strengths
- Vertical traversal and rewarding night expeditions.
Weaknesses
- Limited choice impact, thin cast and visual tradeoffs.
Who it is for: Open-world players who prioritize movement and melee.
Play notes: 2022 PS5 launch basis; subsequent updates excluded.
