About this game

Disney Speedstorm turns Disney and Pixar characters into combat racers. Drift through corners, time nitro boosts and use your chosen racer's unique skill while competing for victory. Its circuits adapt film settings into places to race, bringing familiar worlds into the driving action. Racer statistics can be upgraded, and kart liveries can be customised. Alongside learning the courses and each character's skill, you develop the racer you select. Most modes require an internet connection, while Local Freeplay provides an offline split-screen option.

7.1 / 10Nintendo Switch

A possible fit for players who want character abilities and racer development woven into arcade driving.

Combining drift and boost timing with unique skills could appeal to players who enjoy managing more than their racing line. Racer upgrades provide another focus, although that development may distract anyone interested mainly in driving technique.

Strengths

  • Unique racer skills give character choice a potential tactical purpose alongside driving.
  • Film-inspired courses may make familiar Disney and Pixar settings an engaging part of each race.

Weaknesses

  • Upgrading racer statistics may feel like an extra obligation if driving alone is your main interest.

Who it is for: Players drawn to Disney and Pixar characters who also enjoy learning ability-based racing interactions.

Play notes: In-game purchases include paid random items.
