About this game
Devil May Cry 2 takes Dante to Dumary Island at Lucia's invitation and offers a separate story for each protagonist. Dante can run along walls to gain height and fire Rain Storm's spinning barrage of bullets, while Lucia uses throwing daggers. Evading attacks and landing your own attacks raises the Stylish Rank. Build the Devil Trigger gauge to transform into a more powerful demon form, and use Devil Hearts to tune character capabilities through the amulet. Beyond the stories, the unlockable Bloody Palace mode sets up successive waves of enemies with Red Orbs to earn. It gives players another setting in which to use the characters' combat tools.
Collected in series
Devil May Cry is Capcom’s demon-hunting action series, where sword strikes, gunfire and evasive moves flow into elaborate combos. Its flamboyant heroes bring different fighting styles, and much of the pleasure comes from making each battle look as good as it feels.

AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for players curious about contrasting protagonists and configurable demon abilities.
Dante's wall-running gunplay and Lucia's throwing daggers offer different ways to approach their stories. Amulet tuning and an unlockable wave mode may appeal to players who like testing a character's tools in more than one combat setting.
Strengths
- Separate protagonists and Devil Heart tuning should give character-focused players reasons to compare combat approaches.
- Bloody Palace may suit players who prefer concentrating on enemy encounters after the stories.
Who it is for: Players interested in Dante and Lucia's differing combat tools, demon transformations and wave-based challenges.
Play notes: Bloody Palace is an unlockable bonus mode.
