About this game
Daisenryaku Perfect - Senjou no Hasha is a PSP strategy game centered on turn-based tactical decisions, battlefield assessment, and unit or resource management. Missions add map constraints, new rules, and tougher opposition, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Maps, unit states, and action feedback determine whether complex situations remain readable, while the portable widescreen, UMD streaming, compressed audio, and handheld-scale interface need to preserve targets, text, and action readability. The genre-specific limitation is that tutorial depth, dense menus, controller pointing, and long scenarios increase the learning curve. Platform conditions also include single-nub camera control, UMD loading and noise, Memory Stick saves, battery life, regional language, ad hoc requirements, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

A flexible tactical sandbox held back by sluggish interaction.
Daisenryaku Perfect is most appealing as a tactical laboratory rather than a spectacle. Managing supply lines while advancing, adjusting detailed rules, and arranging forces and terrain give patient players room to compare their own scenarios. Tutorials and harder challenges provide space to learn, while the editing tools particularly reward familiarity with the series. The PSP edition repeatedly interrupts that thoughtful rhythm, however. Even opening a command menu brings a loading pause, and slow confirmations accumulate over lengthy turns. Editing itself is awkward, while sparse battle presentation does little to ease the waiting. This is a better match for military strategy enthusiasts who enjoy constructing situations than for players prioritizing smooth interaction or dramatic depictions of warfare.
Strengths
- Flexible rules and map editing
- Meaningful supply-line planning

- Sluggish confirmations and editing
- Sparse battle presentation
Who it is for: Patient military strategy enthusiasts; Players who enjoy designing scenarios
Play notes: Based on contemporary 2010 PSP reviews; these faults are not assigned to Vita. Detailed configuration requires learning the rules.
