About this game
Call of Duty 3 is a Wii shooter game centered on aiming, shooting, and weapon use, combat encounters, and area and route exploration. Missions pace progress through enemy waves, routes, objectives, and weapon opportunities, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make its immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Aiming feedback, projectiles, hits, and danger zones need to remain readable, while standard-definition output, motion feedback, and interface scale at television distance need to preserve control readability. The genre-specific limitation is that camera turning, aiming methods, dense encounters, and multiplayer service conditions can increase control pressure. Platform conditions also include the Sensor Bar, remote batteries, motion calibration, peripheral requirements, storage limits, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features from other editions.

You move between cover, aim and fire under pressure, whether following a cinematic mission or contesting objectives against other players. Different branches add their own emphasis, including cooperative Zombies survival.

Strong solo spectacle impaired by Wii input and collision faults.
Call of Duty 3 on Wii retains the Normandy breakout campaign across four Allied viewpoints. Cover-based advances, defensive objectives and occasional vehicle tasks give its fourteen missions reasonable variation. The direct Wii review finds basic pointer aiming useful after practice, but the short tutorial does not prepare players for every motion input. Grenades, melee and driving can shift the view or fail to register as intended. The campaign lasts about eight to ten hours, while this release has neither split-screen nor online multiplayer. Repeating outdoor enemies and unskippable scenes further reduce replay appeal. Orchestral music, positional battle sound and squad calls create a strong sense of combat. Blurry textures and muted colors can make enemies hard to distinguish. The reviewer also encountered people trapped in floors, shots passing through walls and occasional frame-rate strain. These faults did not prevent completion but did cause avoidable frustration. This judgment is confined to Wii; campaign material shared with other systems does not grant it their modes or performance.
Strengths
- Multiple Allied views, cover advances and music sustain the campaign.
Weaknesses
- No multiplayer, steep motion controls and collision faults.
Who it is for: Players primarily seeking a Wii World War II campaign.
Play notes: Wii version only; other consoles’ modes and performance are excluded.
