About this game
Big 3 Gun Shooting is a PlayStation 3 shooter game centered on aiming, shooting, and weapon use, story, case, or mission progress, and aiming and shooting. Missions pace progress through enemy waves, routes, objectives, and weapon opportunities, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Aiming feedback, projectiles, hits, and danger zones need to remain readable, while HD 3D scenes, Blu-ray data streaming, surround audio, and cinematic presentation need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that camera turning, aiming methods, dense encounters, and peripheral support can increase control pressure. Platform conditions also include Blu-ray loading, HDD installs, system software, DualShock 3 battery life, Move accessories, resolution and frame rate, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Three lively arcade shooters, undermined by awkward extras.
Big 3 Gun Shooting on PS3 is the three-game collection also reviewed in the West as Time Crisis: Razing Storm, not merely the titular shooter. Razing Storm emphasizes sustained machine-gun fire, Time Crisis 4 retains cover and precision, and Deadstorm Pirates supplies approachable nautical co-op. That contrast makes the package immediately enjoyable, particularly when sharing the arcade courses with a friend. Each course is short, however, and repeat value rests largely on improving a score. The extra Razing Storm story and online modes attempt freer first-person movement but are criticized for their clumsy controls; historical online support is not treated as a currently working feature. Visuals are serviceable rather than consistently impressive, even when the destruction is entertaining. A contemporary PS3 test finds Move aim usable after calibration but susceptible to drift, and less precise than the supported GunCon 3. This is a good fit for short arcade sessions with the appropriate hardware, not a deep standalone shooter campaign.
Strengths
- Three distinct arcade shooting styles.
- Deadstorm Pirates is welcoming in co-op.
Weaknesses
- Short runs and poor extra-mode controls.
- Move calibration and drift can interfere.
Who it is for: PS3 players equipped for short light-gun arcade sessions.
Play notes: Historical online modes are not assumed available today.
