About this game

Alice Sisters is a PlayStation 4 sports game centered on sport controls, shifts between attack and defense, and score or tournament goals. Matches, challenges, and tournament goals give sessions clear boundaries, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Players, venues, animation, and score feedback establish the match atmosphere, while HD output, HDR or PS4 Pro modes, HDD streaming, surround audio, and television-distance interfaces need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that opponent ai, control precision, multiplayer accessories, and period-specific rosters can affect consistency. Platform conditions also include HDD installs and loading, patch version, storage space, DualShock 4 battery life, PS Camera or PS VR requirements, visual modes, frame rate, and network services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Occasional cooperative ideas are held back by uneven character usefulness and backtracking.

Alice Sisters builds platform puzzles around two unequal abilities: Alice shrinks after finding mushrooms, while her sister throws balls at enemies and obstacles. Opening gates for each other and planning key routes occasionally produce satisfying cooperation, with springboards and balloons adding variety. The ball-throwing sister has broader usefulness, however, and shrinking is mainly needed at specific gaps. Switching characters alone can turn parallel routes into repeated backtracking. Easy bosses and uneven challenge further interrupt progression. Its attractive pixel-art style makes the adventure approachable, while PS4 offers no-death Easy, ball-focused Puzzle and limited-life Hard modes for different levels of commitment. It is worth considering for players curious about a small dual-character puzzle adventure, but less convincing as a consistently balanced, smoothly paced cooperative platformer.

Strengths

  • Gate cooperation, key order and movement devices occasionally make clever puzzles.
  • The pixel-art character style is inviting.
  • No-death and differently restricted modes support practice choices.

Weaknesses

  • Unequal character usefulness, frequent solo backtracking and uneven stage/boss challenge weaken progression.

Who it is for: Players curious about character-switching puzzles in a modest platform adventure.

Play notes: Shrinking requires mushrooms and reduces jumping ability; begin with Easy if you want less failure pressure.
