About this game
Aeterna Noctis is a two-dimensional action adventure combining exploration, combat and platform challenges. The King of Darkness travels through connected regions to recover his powers, looking for routes, secrets and side quests. Hand-drawn scenery and frame-by-frame animation depict a world shaped by the conflict between light and darkness. Progress requires reading landing points and movement timings as well as defeating enemies. Recovering abilities gives players new ways to reconsider routes and approach earlier obstacles. Finding a path and practising the actions needed to cross it become connected parts of exploring the world.
