Other

What this category means

Other is the platform directory's holding category for games whose source platform is supported by evidence but has not yet passed the process for a standalone platform page. It is not a console, brand or shared technical standard, and it has no single release era.

Why it exists

Imported material may refer to uncommon computer systems, early hardware, regional devices, educational or specialist equipment, and platforms the site has not finished verifying. Immediately mapping an uncertain name to an established console can create false compatibility. This category preserves the game record while the evidence and platform fields are completed.

What to check while browsing

Games here may not run on the same devices and do not share a store, controller standard, display specification, save system or online service. The precise source platform remains in evidence, release records or editorial notes. Use the individual game's evidence when selecting a version, buying a copy or researching compatibility.

When a platform receives its own page

Editors can create a standalone platform once its stable name and identity are verified and the catalog has enough supported records and maintenance value. Related releases can then move to the correct platform without merging unrelated games or discarding the original source notes.
