Overview

Oddworld sends unlikely heroes through an alien world where creatures and workers are treated as products. Its adventures range from careful escape-and-rescue puzzles to eccentric bounty hunting, united by strange wildlife, dark humor and a distrust of greedy industry. Representative games: Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee (1997): Makes escape a rescue mission as Abe guides fellow Mudokons out of a deadly meat-processing factory. Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee (2001): Moves into 3D and lets you switch between Abe and Munch to use their different abilities. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath — spin-off (2005): Turns living creatures into crossbow ammunition for capturing bounties in an alien frontier.
