About this game

Buster sets out with a friend to rescue Babs from Montana Max. Jump on enemy heads and cross each stage’s obstacles, selecting Plucky, Dizzy or Furrball as the companion before setting off. A Toon-A-Round pickup changes control between Buster and that chosen friend. The partner changes the action set: Plucky glides, Dizzy spins into attacks and Furrball climbs walls. Some special moves draw on a meter that refills with time, so their use must fit the current obstacle.

A partner-choice platformer for players who enjoy different traversal tools.

Choosing the companion gives the stage approach a specific constraint. Swapping through a pickup makes character changes part of the route.

Strengths

  • Each companion has a concrete movement or attack specialty.

Who it is for: Players who like choosing an ability set before a platform stage.
