About this game
KOEI’s Three Kingdoms strategy game asks the player to unify China through government, diplomacy and warfare. On each monthly turn, an officer can carry out one command, with abilities affecting the result; choosing who handles a task matters alongside the task itself. Provinces can be controlled directly or delegated for automatic orders. Battles move to a hex map where terrain affects movement and defense, linking the broader campaign to the placement of individual forces.
Collected in series
Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a historical strategy series about governing cities, recruiting officers and directing armies in divided China. Some entries put an entire faction in your hands; others let you pursue an individual officer's career within the struggle.
