About this game

Set in Showa-era Ise-Shima, this supernatural adventure puts observation at the center of its mystery. Rotate the view to inspect your surroundings, speak with characters and consult the files and profiles gathered during the investigation. The story follows several viewpoints as their accounts and motives intersect. Progress unfolds through a story chart that opens as you advance. When a thread reaches a dead end, revisit the information you have collected and look for something overlooked. Alongside the investigation, an underwater gathering minigame asks you to approach sea creatures and catch them before your oxygen runs out. Panoramic backgrounds drawn from photographs of local scenery give these investigations a specific geographical setting.

7.4 / 10Nintendo Switch

A promising fit for readers who enjoy checking the evidence behind an unfolding supernatural mystery.

Combining panoramic inspection with files and changing viewpoints gives attentive readers several ways to connect clues. The story chart also makes revisiting an unresolved thread part of the appeal, particularly for players who enjoy reconsidering earlier information.

Strengths

  • Looking around a scene and comparing written records can make deduction feel more participatory.
  • Photographed local scenery can give the supernatural premise a tangible sense of place.

Weaknesses

  • Players who prefer uninterrupted storytelling may find checking earlier information an unwelcome interruption.

Who it is for: Readers interested in folklore mysteries who enjoy examining details and comparing different accounts.

Play notes: Approach the story chart as an invitation to reconsider clues when progress stalls.
