About this game

Lady Love Dies returns from exile to investigate the murder of an island's Council. You explore an open world, question suspects and examine relics that reveal its strange history. Your Starlight computer helps gather evidence and record testimony, giving you material from which to construct an accusation. Exploration also involves solving hieroglyph puzzles on ancient computers to open hidden areas and uncover further evidence. The investigation leads into a trial where you choose the accused and defend your reading of the facts. Progress therefore involves both discovering information and deciding how it supports a case: an object found while exploring and a statement from a suspect can become parts of the argument you present.

8.4 / 10Nintendo Switch

A fitting prospect for mystery readers who want responsibility for the accusation they construct.

Questioning suspects and searching hidden areas can make the case feel assembled through your own curiosity. Choosing the accused gives evidence gathering a purpose beyond simply finding another piece of information.

Strengths

  • The connection between exploration and concealed evidence can reward following investigative leads.
  • Selecting an accusation gives the collected testimony a concrete argumentative use.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy comparing testimony, exploring for clues and defending an interpretation of events.

Play notes: Choosing a suspect is only part of the task; the accusation must be supported with evidence at trial.
