About this game

Samus Aran enters the fortress planet Zebes to destroy Mother Brain. Progress depends on finding hidden items that strengthen her weapons and suit, rather than simply moving through one obstacle after another. These upgrades change both how she fights and where she can go. The ability to roll into a ball opens narrow passages, while High Jump provides access over tall walls. Missiles open certain gates, and Ice Beam can freeze enemies temporarily. Exploring for equipment is therefore closely tied to finding a route farther into the fortress.
