About this game
Lost Judgment is a PlayStation 5 adventure game centered on combat encounters, area and route exploration, and collection and development goals. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Judgment pairs detective investigations with martial-arts action as former lawyer Takayuki Yagami pursues difficult cases. Searching for clues and walking busy city streets sit alongside physical confrontations, with everyday diversions between the heavier revelations.

Expressive fighting carries an uneven detective routine.
Lost Judgment makes its strongest argument through movement and defence. Snake provides a distinct way to redirect an encounter, complementing the other styles rather than merely adding another attack list. The school activities also give the city a life outside the central case. That case finds human weight in bullying and competing ideas of justice, but repeated explanations and constrained stealth do not always match its dramatic ambition. It is more convincing as a character-led action adventure than as an unrestricted detective simulation. The original PS5 test documents fluid combat alongside smaller lighting and lip-sync blemishes. This assessment covers the 2021 base game and does not count the later Kaito Files expansion.
Strengths
- Defensive combat and school activities offer meaningful variety.
Weaknesses
- Recaps and rigid stealth weaken the investigative rhythm.
Who it is for: Players seeking city action and character-led cases.
Play notes: Original PS5 base game; Kaito Files is excluded.
