About this game

Little Nightmares Complete Edition follows Six's attempt to escape the Maw, a giant vessel whose spaces dwarf her. Explore the surroundings, use available objects and work out mechanisms to overcome obstacles. Dangerous inhabitants make hiding, sneaking and running part of finding a way forward, while light helps you navigate the dark. This edition includes the base game and Secrets of The Maw. The expansion follows the Runaway Kid through a parallel escape story across The Depths, The Hideaway and The Residence. Together, the two stories put different captive children at the centre of journeys through the same vessel, combining environmental puzzles with the need to evade its inhabitants.

8.1 / 10Nintendo Switch

For players drawn to vulnerable escapes and puzzles in an oversized world.

Having to hide or run while solving environmental obstacles could create an appealing tension for players who enjoy feeling small within a threatening space. The Kid's parallel story may also interest those who want another perspective on the vessel.

Strengths

  • Using the surroundings while evading inhabitants could make observation feel central to progress.
  • The included parallel story offers another protagonist through whom to explore the Maw.

Weaknesses

  • Players who dislike hiding and fleeing may find those required escape actions less appealing.

Who it is for: Players interested in environmental puzzles, threatening settings and stories centred on escaping danger.
