About this game
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a PlayStation 5 simulation game centered on area and route exploration, story, case, or mission progress, and resource or business management. Schedules, changing values, or staged goals encourage repeated adjustment, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Interface clarity and state feedback matter more than spectacle, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that explanations, dense menus, real-time systems, or accessory dependencies can add friction. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Jurassic World Evolution makes dinosaur care and containment part of building a functioning theme park. Designing habitats and visitor facilities is only half the job: the animals’ needs and unexpected emergencies keep reshaping your plans.

An appealing dinosaur park builder whose strongest modes lie beyond the tutorial-like campaign.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 combines the spectacle of keeping dinosaurs with a satisfying stream of practical management decisions. Scientists need rest, medical teams must diagnose problems and habitats must meet different animals' needs. Expansion therefore involves more than releasing another impressive creature. The systems remain approachable rather than economically exhaustive, and much of the activity involves planning facilities and dispatching teams. Its story campaign is largely an introduction; Chaos Theory, Challenge and Sandbox provide the more rewarding goals and creative space. Dinosaurs, familiar locations and music strongly evoke the films. The PS5 review finds the camera and button mapping adaptable, with pausing and fast-forwarding helping manage tasks. Separately purchased dinosaur packs and story expansions are outside this base-game assessment.
Strengths
- Animal care and staffing decisions interact.
- Multiple modes support different goals.
- Dinosaurs and cinematic atmosphere are compelling.
Weaknesses
- The story campaign is mostly a tutorial.
- Dispatching tasks outweighs economic depth.
Who it is for: Dinosaur fans and players seeking approachable park management.
Play notes: Dinosaur packs and Dominion expansions are separate purchases; controller management takes practice.
