About this game
Pilot a fighter against waves of insect-like aliens. Dodge their attacks and shoot down every enemy to reach the next stage. A boss Galaga can capture your ship with its tractor beam, turning a lost fighter into something that can be rescued. Destroy that boss while it is diving to reclaim the captive and form a dual fighter. The paired craft can put more missiles on screen, changing your offensive options. After game over, the results show shots fired, hits and accuracy.
Collected in series
Galaga turns alien formations into a game of timing, dodging and chasing scores. Namco’s arcade shooting series is especially memorable for letting enemies capture your fighter, then rewarding a successful rescue with a powerful double ship.
