About this game

Fujiko F. Fujio Characters Daishuugou! SF Dotabata Party!! brings together manga characters including Doraemon and Korosuke for a party game built around board events and minigames. Players take turns rolling dice and resolving the events on their landing spaces. Competitive or cooperative minigames then provide opportunities to earn points. This cycle continues for a fixed number of turns before a final battle determines the winner, connecting progress around the board with the closing contest.

Fujiko F. Fujio Characters Daishuugou! SF Dotabata Party!!

A familiar cast and accessible party loop are held back by unequal information and unclear display.

Character cards, dice movement and minigames form an easily understood party loop. Free games, separate minigames and collection activities provide different goals, while familiar Fujiko characters give established fans a reason to join. Nostalgia does not automatically create balanced multiplayer, however. The Wii U account finds the GamePad user better able to monitor everyone’s cards, leaving other participants with less convenient information. Some depth-based minigames remain difficult to read, and rough character outlines and sparse-looking boards weaken television presentation. Unlocking all free-play boards also requires repeated main-mode completion. The reviewer reports no evident freezing after updating, but that observation does not resolve the structural and readability issues. It best suits friends or families who treat the cast as a party theme and accept the unlocking process, rather than players expecting fine competitive balance or thorough introductions to every represented work.

Strengths

  • An approachable board-and-minigame loop
  • Free play and collecting offer different goals

Weaknesses

  • GamePad-dependent information advantage
  • Unclear depth and repeated unlocking

Who it is for: Friends or families who enjoy the cast as a party theme and accept the unlocking process.

Play notes: Independent judgment from Kakaku professional reviewer 酒缶’s April 9, 2015 Wii U account, not our own playtest. Evidence is the indexed full original text; direct fetch failures are recorded. Patch number, total hours and console model are unknown. No freezing is bounded to that updated test; 3DS stereoscopy and source star ratings are excluded.

Free games, standalone minigames and a collection mode provide different activities. Unlocking every free-play board requires repeated main-mode completion, imposing a gate on players less fond of that loop.

Dice, character cards and minigames form an approachable party loop with a final scoring goal. The GamePad holder’s better access to card information can undermine competitive balance.

The cast can appeal to existing Fujiko fans, but the Wii U account finds rough outlines and sparse-looking boards on television. Difficult depth judgment in some minigames further weakens visual clarity.

Dimension

The Wii U account details GamePad and map controls and reports no evident freezing on its then-current updated version. GamePad-dependent card visibility and unclear depth still distribute usability unevenly between players.
