More convincing football, now chiefly an offline historical season.
FIFA 22 improved the on-pitch relationship between ball movement, positioning and defensive shape. Passing into space and using the width of the field became more rewarding than relying only on dribbling. Create-a-club gave Career a welcome goal, though staff management and the familiar menu structure remained shallow. Match animation and sound still make local play involving, but the historical roster cannot stand in for a current football season. More importantly, EA officially retired FIFA 22 online services on PS5 in November 2024. An assessment today must not count the reviewed online features as available content. It remains a reasonable offline Career or local-match option for players interested in that particular era, not a sensible choice for active network competition.
