About this game
Gen’s mallet is used for more than a forward strike. Attack upward to reach enemies overhead, hit the ground while crouching to stun opponents, or crouch with the mallet to block attacks. Movement, attack direction and defence each have a specific use. Wooden boxes hold tools including stronger mallets, protective helmets and boots that improve jumping. Special items offer effects such as healing or slowing enemies. Shooting sections change the button actions to tool and mallet shots, adding a different use for the carpenter’s equipment.
Collected in series
Hammerin' Harry follows a carpenter who tackles enemies and obstacles with an oversized hammer. Its side-scrolling stages mix jumping, hefty swings and comic machinery, while later games give him new tools and occupations.
