About this game

In Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Red joins a graffiti crew while searching for his origins in New Amsterdam. You travel by skateboard, inline skates or BMX, linking tricks across the city and repainting rival graffiti to build your crew's reputation. That recognition opens challenges against other crews, with Crew Battles decided by the score you earn before time runs out. Movement has its own resource loop: manuals extend combinations, and long combinations generate boost power. Routes through the city therefore serve both travel and trick scoring. Exploration also reveals potential recruits, graffiti designs, outfit colors and music, giving you things to seek between crew challenges. This is a solo adventure whose rivalries revolve around graffiti and movement.

A promising fit for players who want city exploration to double as a search for trick combinations.

Because combinations produce boost, learning a route can serve both efficient travel and expressive trick play. Reputation gates and timed Crew Battles give that wandering a competitive destination, which should appeal to players who enjoy turning exploration into a scoring challenge.

Strengths

  • The connection between long combinations and boost can make movement practice useful beyond a single score attempt.
  • Discoverable recruits, designs and music can give street exploration several different goals.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy experimenting with movement routes, extending combinations and pursuing graffiti crew challenges.

Play notes: The crew theme describes a single-player adventure, rather than a shared multiplayer crew.
