About this game

As the heir of Mt. Holly, your task is to find Room 46 inside a manor whose rooms change. When you reach a closed door, you choose what room appears behind it. Those choices shape the route you explore, and the rooms bring their own challenges, secrets and tools. Items can be put to different uses as you work farther into the house. The floor plan resets each day, so a route assembled today is not a permanent map. Permanent estate upgrades are the exception and remain after dawn. Alongside the room search, you investigate the manor’s past, including the disappearance of a children’s book author. Exploration therefore involves both constructing a path through the house and pursuing its mysteries.

8.8 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

For puzzle players who want to build the route they investigate and accept that it changes each day.

Choosing rooms makes navigation a design decision: what you place affects the path and tools available to you. The reset makes each layout provisional, while permanent upgrades provide an exception to rebuilding. If revising a plan is part of the pleasure of a puzzle for you, that structure offers a clear reason to engage.

Strengths

  • Room choice can connect route planning directly to the challenges and tools encountered.
  • Different item uses offer a reason to reconsider how a newly drafted room might help.

Weaknesses

  • Players who want a lasting map may find the daily loss of an assembled route discouraging, even with permanent upgrades preserved.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy planning routes, experimenting with tools and investigating a mystery while adapting to changing layouts.

Play notes: The Hong Kong Switch 2 listing specifies English as its supported language.

Daily resets give exploration a recurring planning boundary; persistent upgrades keep that boundary from erasing every estate improvement. The appeal depends on enjoying revision rather than permanent route construction.
