About this game

Awakened Fate Ultimatum, The is a PlayStation 3 role-playing game centered on character or equipment growth, area exploration, and combat and party setup. Story beats, exploration, and progression resources support a longer campaign, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Characters, world building, environments, and music carry most of the atmosphere, while HD 3D scenes, Blu-ray data streaming, surround audio, and cinematic presentation need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that dense text, menu layers, repeated battles, loading, or language dependence can slow progress. Platform conditions also include Blu-ray loading, HDD installs, system software, DualShock 3 battery life, Move accessories, resolution and frame rate, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

A decent dual-form dungeon RPG whose combat and story choices do not fully match their promise.

The Awakened Fate Ultimatum sends its hero through tile-and-turn dungeons while switching between angel and devil forms. Enemy alignment, separate growth grids and equipment choices create useful tactical questions: specialise in one side, stay flexible, fight or withdraw? Death removes carried items and gear, but levels persist and a vault lets careful players protect valuables before entering. Failure is harsh without being entirely futile. The problem is that ordinary encounters have relatively few interesting actions, while randomly built floors and traps begin to look alike. Roguelike veterans may reach the edge of its systems sooner than the premise suggests. The war between Heaven and Hell starts with too much exposition. Most advertised moral decisions only adjust local dialogue or relationships until a more meaningful final choice, and the protagonist is not universally compelling. Later character exchanges improve the tone somewhat. Colourful anime portraits, compact 3D figures and dramatic music create a coherent style, even if the locations feel conventional and English voice performances are less distinctive. Readable menus make repeated inventory management workable, but the gear-loss rule still asks newcomers to learn defensive storage habits. Players comfortable with anime storytelling and risky dungeon runs can find several enjoyable hours here. Those after sophisticated combat or extensively branching moral consequences should treat it as a secondary choice, not an essential PS3 RPG.

Strengths

  • Meaningful angel/devil growth choices
  • Equipment risk makes exploration tense
  • Coherent character art and music

Weaknesses

  • Thin moment-to-moment attacks
  • Slow opening and modest choice consequences
  • Repetitive dungeon structure

Who it is for: PS3 dungeon-crawler fans willing to accept anime tropes and gear-loss penalties.

Play notes: Death removes equipped and carried gear; use the vault before risky runs.
