About this game
Alphadia III follows Alfonso, an energi clone who begins to question his place in a world consumed by conflict over life energy. Its story takes place before the original Alphadia and connects his search for answers with the wider Energi War. Party combat is turn-based, with SP Skills and Arrays adding ways to organize abilities and battle formations. Outside combat, the Energi Crock converts unwanted items into Energi Elements. Missions and an arena offer further activities, while upgrading a ship into a seaplane opens additional travel possibilities. The PS4 release arrived in 2025 with pixel-art presentation.

Enjoyable party planning and clone ethics, with balance and navigation trade-offs.
Alphadia III makes developing six companions its main attraction. Arrays trade damage, defence and speed, elemental rings broaden spell coverage, and SP skills improve through use. Recycling surplus items keeps exploration rewards useful. Strong early equipment can make battles easy, however, so players seeking tactical practice should manage their strengthening. Dungeon treasures, requests and the arena give the journey variety; waypoints and quest markers reduce unnecessary searching, though complex layouts and late-gated task conditions still slow progress. Clone autonomy and humorous companions give the story emotional grounding, with familiar personality patterns but satisfying initial closure. Weapon sprites and music support the adventure, while occasional portrait/background mismatches weaken visual cohesion. It suits players who enjoy party development and approachable storytelling without treating purchased multipliers as necessary to finish.
Strengths
- Six-person arrays, elements and SP growth provide layered party planning.
- Recycling, requests and arena activities keep exploration rewards useful.
- Clone ethics and humorous companions give the adventure emotional grounding.
Weaknesses
- Strong equipment can make combat too easy and reduce strategic necessity.
- Complex dungeon routes and late-gated task conditions interrupt progression.
- Some personalities feel familiar, and portraits occasionally mismatch their backgrounds.
Who it is for: Solo RPG players who enjoy six-person development, turn-based planning and humorous ethical stories, and willingly learn routes while choosing their own strengthening level.
Play notes: PS4 and PS5 saves are incompatible, so choose your version first. The US listing specifies English/Japanese screen text; experience multipliers are separate optional paid items, not free base features.

| Dimension Six-person arrays, elemental coverage and SP growth create layered party planning that matters in combat. Strong equipment can reduce the need to exploit those choices, although restrained shop resources leave room for players who deliberately manage their strengthening. | Reviewed | 7.7 / 10 | Not provided |
| Dimension Clone autonomy, ethical themes and humorous companions give the journey emotional grounding, supported by weapon sprites and music. | Dimension Waypoints, encounter management and quest markers make routes and training easier to organize. Purchased multipliers have a documented options entry but are not free base features. PS4/PS5 save incompatibility requires choosing a version, rather than obstructing continued play on one version. | Reviewed | 7.3 / 10 | Not provided |
