About this game

Aliens: Dark Descent is a single-player real-time tactics game about leading Colonial Marines through an alien outbreak on Lethe. The squad moves and follows orders as a unit, with time slowdown allowing the player to plan actions and assign appropriate tasks during sudden threats. Welded doors, deployed equipment and opened routes affect later exploration. Ammunition, health and psychological stress all limit how far an operation can continue. Back aboard the Otago, the player treats injuries and trauma, recruits and develops personnel, and researches equipment. Permanent deaths make preparation and timely withdrawal part of sustaining the campaign, alongside decisions made under immediate attack.
