About this game

63 Days is a PlayStation 4 strategy game centered on combat encounters, turn-based tactical decisions, and story, case, or mission progress. Missions add map constraints, new rules, and tougher opposition, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Maps, unit states, and action feedback determine whether complex situations remain readable, while HD output, HDR or PS4 Pro modes, HDD streaming, surround audio, and television-distance interfaces need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that tutorial depth, dense menus, controller pointing, and long scenarios increase the learning curve. Platform conditions also include HDD installs and loading, patch version, storage space, DualShock 4 battery life, PS Camera or PS VR requirements, visual modes, frame rate, and network services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Specialized roles and synchronized actions reward planning, while later character and war storytelling thin out.

63 Days puts opportunity in observation and teamwork. Reading patrol gaps, luring guards, moving bodies and using narrow passages opens routes, while planning mode synchronizes several actions. Stealth is more than waiting: the reward comes from connecting each squad member's abilities, with open fighting adding changes of pace. Rescue, infiltration, sabotage and ambush objectives expand missions across homes, bases and rooftops; higher difficulty invites new plans for familiar tasks. Cutaway interiors and rubble-filled streets give the setting texture, but individual characterization is concentrated near the beginning and the wider conflict is portrayed selectively. Emotional involvement is less sustained than tactical coordination. Separate squad, skill, button-prompt, objective-counter and minimap areas help track units and unfinished goals. It suits deliberate observation and ability combinations more than a consistently deep character journey.

Strengths

  • Specialized roles and synchronized actions reward patrol observation, distraction and route choices.
  • Layered objectives and different building routes vary the tactical problems.
  • Interiors and damaged streets have environmental texture, with distinct button prompts, unit markers and objective counters.

Weaknesses

  • Individual characterization is concentrated early, while later wartime context remains selective and one-dimensional.

Who it is for: Tactical stealth players who enjoy observing patrols and sightlines, combining abilities and planning synchronized actions, and revising squad assignments for different routes.

Play notes: This concerns the original PS4 full base game, not its demo. Check the selected unit, skill and objective counters before executing a plan. Optional online cooperation requires PS Plus; the current US product lists English voice and Simplified/Traditional Chinese text.

Layered objectives and routes through homes, bases and rooftops organize each mission into a dense sequence of tactical problems. Higher difficulties also give familiar maps a replay purpose, with the strongest appeal in revising squad assignments rather than merely reaching a destination once.

Specialized roles and simultaneous actions form excellent tactical combinations: distracting guards, entering narrow passages, handling bodies and timing patrol gaps all change the available plan. Planning and open fighting give observation, preparation and execution meaningful payoffs rather than reducing progress to one repeated attack.

Lived-in interiors and damaged streets provide good environmental expression, while rescue reactions and wartime pressure give missions weight. Individual characterization thins later and the wider conflict is presented unevenly, leaving scenery and particular events more affecting than sustained character and war storytelling.

Separate squad, skill, action and objective-map areas give complex coordination good informational support through button labels and collection counters. Selection markers help identify the current unit, while multiple goals remain distinct from the scene, supporting step-by-step checks after planning an action.
