About this game
35 MM is a PlayStation 4 adventure game centered on area and route exploration, collection and development goals, and story, case, or mission progress. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while HD output, HDR or PS4 Pro modes, HDD streaming, surround audio, and television-distance interfaces need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include HDD installs and loading, patch version, storage space, DualShock 4 battery life, PS Camera or PS VR requirements, visual modes, frame rate, and network services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Strong bleak atmosphere weakened by console input.
35MM turns deserted Russian roads, abandoned rooms and sparse ambient sound into a deliberately quiet journey after a collapse. Its visual and audio atmosphere can make the next place worth seeing. Searching for objects, solving light puzzles and surviving occasional encounters do not develop the interaction to the same degree, however, and long stretches ask the player to wait for another event. The firsthand PS4 review finds clumsy interaction and other usability friction that repeatedly breaks the mood those scenes create. The ruined locations remain worth visiting, and occasional incidents add a little curiosity. Yet basic pickups, puzzles and encounters leave walking to carry too much of the runtime. Patient environmental-story players are the best fit; anyone looking for substantive survival decisions will find it passive.
Strengths
- Landscape and sound make the journey evocative.
Weaknesses
- Thin interactions and awkward PS4 input intrude.
Who it is for: Patient players seeking environmental storytelling.
Play notes: PS4 edition; expect slow environmental exploration.
