Overview

Commandos is a World War II military-game series best known for real-time tactical stealth. You coordinate specialists, watch enemy patrols and combine the squad’s abilities to turn a guarded position into a workable infiltration plan. Representative games: Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (1998): Coordinate six specialists whose different skills make each infiltration a team effort. Commandos 2: Men of Courage (2001): Stolen uniforms and weapons expand the ways you can use enemy resources during a mission. Commandos: Origins (2025): Command Mode lets you queue several operatives’ actions and execute them together. Suitable for: For players who enjoy studying patrols, finding gaps in security and refining a plan after a setback. Timing several people’s actions is as much of the attraction as finding a clever route through a map.
