Overview
Chou Aniki is best known for shooters where flying muscles and bodybuilding jokes turn every stage into a strange spectacle. Beneath the absurd imagery, you still need to watch enemy movement and find a route through incoming fire. Representative games: Chou Aniki (1992): Sends its heroes into a bodybuilding-themed shooting adventure over dwindling protein supplies. Ai Chou Aniki (1995): Promotes the muscular duo Adon and Samson to starring roles. Chou Aniki: Kyuukyoku Muteki Ginga Saikyou Otoko (1995): Uses digitised live-action characters for an especially surreal shooting spectacle. Suitable for: For shooter fans who enjoy eccentric art and deliberately ridiculous humour. If reading enemy patterns is as appealing as wondering what bizarre figure will appear next, this series offers an unusual combination.
