Xtreme puts extreme sports into races where speed, tricks and contact with rivals all matter. Boards, skates and bikes take you through courses full of obstacles, asking when to hold a clean line and when to risk a flourish. Winning can feel as scrappy as it is fast. Representative games: ESPN Extreme Games (1995): Starts the series with contact racing across several extreme sports. 2Xtreme (1996): Rewards finishing position, tricks and knockdowns in its season scoring. 3Xtreme (1999): Expands tricks and combinations across BMX bikes, skateboards and inline skates.
